I would advise you to follow your dentist''''s recommendation. A delay in treatment could cause you to loose the tooth, lead to an inconvenient painful toothache, or spread bacterial infection to other teeth & jaw/face/neck. The other option you have may be to remove the tooth. The disadvantage to removing the tooth is that it will cause a shift in your bite, loss of jaw bone, and could even cause you to loose other teeth. Hello,I believe that visiting the endodontist would be a good idea. If your dentist has recommended it, it must be a complicated case of root canal therapy to perform. It is best done by a specialist. Extraction is also an option but not always recommended.
