Case Description
I have a bonding on one of my lateral incisors due to it being a peg tooth that was done nearly 26 years ago. This past week, I bit down on dinner and felt like I pushed that tooth up into my gumlime. The pain did not last long however, it returned two days later, was minor and only lasted a day and went away. As of yesterday, it is back with a vengeance. The tooth itself hurts. 1500mg of Tylenol is not touching it. Heat is not helping. Ambesol is not working. Even to barely touch it, meaning the tooth, causes extreme pain and just breathing through my mouth gives me a new point of view on pain.
The bond appears to still be attached and intact, there is no pain in my gum, there is no swelling (yet) in my gum or my face. The pain in the tooth reminds me of the pain one feels when one has braces or a retainer and the tooth is actually loose now.
I have not been to a dentist in more years than I care to admit, and my teeth show it, as I do have peridontal disease to the point of actually being embarassed over it and in tears more of the thoughts of having to go to a dentist than of the actual pain. One additional contradiction is that I do have high blood pressure and it is controlled via medication.
I do not have insurance but do have some emergency funds. I am looking for options up to and including extraction of the tooth. In other words, the least cost option at this time, and an approximate cost of said options if possible.
Thanks for reading.

Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.
